A tipped candle can leave two problems in a carpet: a layer of hardened wax and, sometimes, coloured residue beneath it. It is tempting to reach for a hot iron to melt the wax straight back out. That can push pigment deeper, scorch fibres or affect carpet backing. A gentler first step is to let the wax harden, remove what can be lifted mechanically and assess the remaining mark before adding heat or chemicals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
