We believe that the information based on the research will help us increase the levels of hygiene across the washrooms across the world.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is that?<\/h3>\n<p>&#8211; Hand dryers tend to spray more bacteria around the room than towels<br \/>\n&#8211; The most powerful dryers can spray microbes up to 1.5m into the distance<br \/>\n&#8211; Dryers spray bacteria up to 1m from the floor which is the average height of children<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5214 size-full\" title=\"Hand Dryer\" src=\"https:\/\/gocleanerslondon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/hand-dryer.jpg\" alt=\"Hand Dryer\" width=\"305\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gocleanerslondon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/hand-dryer.jpg 305w, https:\/\/gocleanerslondon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/hand-dryer-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 305px) 100vw, 305px\" \/><br \/>\nThe author of the study, Dr. Keith Redway, examined the levels of microbial contamination and the risk for airborne microbe dispersal caused from hand-dryers. He used four hand drying methods&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>using a paper towel<\/li>\n<li>using a textile roller towel<\/li>\n<li>using a warm air dryer<\/li>\n<li>using a jet air dryer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>compared on three different test models&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>yeast<\/li>\n<li>acid indicator with lemon<\/li>\n<li>transmission of bacteria from hands after washed with soap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026.of dryers to find what are the differences between the methods and their ability to disperse microbes on the hands of people to other users of the washrooms.<\/p>\n<h3>The Results<\/h3>\n<p>A powerful jet air dryer can disperse liquid from people&#8217;s hands up to 1.5m \u2013 more than any of the other methods. The dryer with jet air also caused the greatest microbes&#8217; dispersal into the air compared to the other methods.<\/p>\n<p>From a closer range, the jet air dryers caused 59.5 colonies of yeast, and the paper towels showed 2.2 colonies on average.
