POST-CONSTRUCTION CLEANING
When after builders cleaning is the right next step.
Make sure the property is ready for cleaning
- Building work is fully completed
- Tools and construction waste are removed
- Water and electricity are available
- All required rooms are safely accessible
After builders cleaning is suitable once renovation, decorating or construction work has finished and the property needs detailed removal of fine dust, marks and settled residue.
The cleaning plan should identify the completed rooms, finished surfaces, glazing, floors, cupboards and fixtures that are ready to be cleaned.
Confirming the floor area, access route and remaining level of building dust helps determine the team size, equipment and working time required.
Active construction work, rubble removal, paint correction, repairs and unfinished surfaces are not automatically included and should be discussed separately.

AFTER BUILDERS CLEANING PROCESS
From completed renovation to a move-in ready property.
Every project is different, but the cleaning process always begins after the building work has been completed and the property is ready for a detailed clean.
Inspect the property
The completed rooms, finished surfaces, remaining construction residue and overall condition are reviewed before work begins.
Remove construction dust
Fine dust is removed from walls, woodwork, cupboards, internal glazing, floors and other accessible finished surfaces.
Detailed room cleaning
Kitchens, bathrooms, living spaces and bedrooms are cleaned methodically, with attention given to fixtures, fittings and high-touch surfaces.
Final quality check
The property is reviewed once more to ensure the agreed areas have been completed and the space is ready for occupation or handover.
SERVICE TEAMS / THE AGREED WORK

The handover follows the same room and task list agreed before work begins.
AFTER BUILDERS CLEANING FAQ
What to confirm before the post-build clean begins.
The property should be finished, safely accessible and free from active construction work before detailed cleaning starts.
Send photographs of the completed rooms, remaining residue, glazing, floors and any access restrictions.
When is a property ready for after builders cleaning?
The main building, renovation or decorating work should be completed. Contractors, tools, protective coverings and loose construction waste should be removed so the agreed rooms and finished surfaces can be accessed safely.
What information is needed for an accurate quotation?
Confirm the property size, completed rooms, type and amount of residue, access arrangements and any finished surfaces requiring particular care. Recent photographs are especially useful for assessing the likely team size and working time.
What affects the final price?
The quotation depends on floor area, the amount of fine dust, plaster or decorating residue, the number of rooms, internal glazing, cupboards, access conditions and the level of detailed cleaning required.
Are paint, adhesive and silicone marks included?
Light removable marks may be assessed during the visit, but hardened paint, adhesive, silicone and surface damage are not automatically included. Removal must be safe for the material and may require separate testing or specialist work.
Is construction waste removed?
Standard cleaning covers dust and small loose residue from accessible surfaces. Rubble, timber, plasterboard, hazardous materials and larger construction waste should be removed before the cleaning appointment.
Can cleaning take place while builders are still working?
It is usually better to wait until the work is fully completed. Ongoing drilling, sanding, painting or installation can recreate dust and residue, making it difficult to complete an effective final clean.
READY TO PLAN THE FINAL CLEAN?
Move from finished building work to a cleaner, ready-to-use property.
Share the property size, completed rooms, remaining residue and preferred date so the team can confirm availability and prepare a clear quotation.
