How Moths Work?

Female moths emerge from cocoons, mate, and lay about 50 eggs for a period of 4-7 days. Eggs hatch 4-10 days later. In just two weeks, infestation is a fact.

- Shift stored carpets occasionally.
- Once in a while, inspect for moth damage or presence underside of the rug, especially along edges. This applies to both stored and in-use rugs.
- Look over the entire back of the rug for moth signs. If you discover larvae or damage, immediate action is required to eliminate the moths, using methods like vacuuming, moth crystals, or traps.
- Ironically, stored carpets need post-cleaning, too. Air out the rug and store it in a sealed container with moth crystals for at least two weeks to ensure the larvae are eradicated and your rug remains undamaged.
If you’re uncertain about identifying moth damage, look for larva casings, which are indicative of moth activity.
Worst case scenario, you will need repair.
Can You Protect Clothes From Moth Stains?

How to Clean Moth-Stained Curtains?
Spray and wash cleaner can remove the spots from finished walls and most other surfaces. If the curtains come with washing instructions, normal washing according to the instructions should take care of the spots.
- Put a bit of “bleach clean up” on a wet sponge.
- Wipe it away.
- Dilute with water to protect wooden window sash and neatly stained finish.
- Wipe and rinse it all off after stains are gone.
This works really good, quickly, and requires little scrubbing.
